Yates Mill Old Bottle Display
This exhibit is located at Historic Yates Mill County Park in Raleigh, NC, inside the A.E. Finley Center for Education and Research. It features 8 antique bottles that were found in the millpond last winter during the time in which the pond level had been drawn down for mill repair work. Drawing the pond down exposed a large part of the bank. Buried in the mud, park staff found countless treasures including all the bottles seen in the display. These artifacts span more than 50 years and give us a peak into the daily lives of the people who called the area surrounding the mill home.
