The Teletype ASR-33 (Automatic Send Receive) was the workhorse for computer Input/Output during the sixties and much of the seventies. This electromechanical 8 channel device with integrated tape puncher and reader was driven through a current loop serial line, rattling at the leisurely speed of 110 baud (10 char. per second). This device donated by Jean MOOTZ has been restored and coupled to a vintage OSI 500 computer (1976).
