Starting with Menace, created by Edinburgh-based DMA Design in 1988,this company would then go on to enjoy massive success with the puzzle-platformer Lemmings, before changing its name to Rockstar North and releasing Grand Theft Auto. Not only would this game cause massive controversy, it also went on to become one of gaming's best loved franchises, spawning numerous sequels and cementing Rockstar as one of the great UK-based games companies.
